Wanted to install Mac OSX temporarily to help a friend get some data. There's other ways I could have done it but it's easier to use a Mac. The issue I had was that I could not get the damn thing to boot. I kept getting an error that the Real Time Clock failed & caused a kernel panic. I found this thread for VMWare but the solution is exactly the same for Virtualbox: http://www.hackint0sh.org/f181/79364.htm

After starting the VM, click in the window & press F8. At the boot: promt type busratio=X & press enter. I tried 18 & it worked like a charm.
